{"id":72,"date":"2012-09-15T01:49:48","date_gmt":"2012-09-15T00:49:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/writethem.com\/?page_id=72"},"modified":"2016-09-26T19:17:41","modified_gmt":"2016-09-26T18:17:41","slug":"transferring-patterns","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/writethem.com\/?page_id=72","title":{"rendered":"Transferring Patterns"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There are many ways to transfer a pattern,<\/p>\n<p>use a sunny window or a light box and trace the pattern with a pencil, permanent pen, washable marker or a disappearing marker.<\/p>\n<p>When ever I can I use a product called Transfer-Eze, it is a water soluble film, I print my pattern on this, peel the backing off and stick it onto my fabric.<\/p>\n<p>When making small art quilts I print the pattern onto the Transfer-Eze, peel the backing off and stick it onto my fabric.\u00a0 First\u00a0 I embroider the words, then I add the batting and backing and quilt on the dashed lines. When I am finished with the pattern I soak the quilt in cold water for a few minutes and the Transfer-Eze will dissolve.\u00a0 It works really well for me.
